Bishopsgate Iron & Steel are delighted to have been granted Authorised Treatment Facility Status, by the Environment Agency to deal with End of Life Vehicles 

This means we are authorised by them to take in vehicles, which have come to the end of their useful life.  We then De-polute and recycle the vehicle, in a safe and responsible way and in line with Government and Environmental Agency Guidelines.

To do this we have constructed a dedicated building that has had to meet strict Environmental Agency Conditions relating to the de-polution of end of life vehicles, regarding storage, dismantling and recycling .  Exacting levels of construction have had to be adhered to relating to impermeable surfaces, possible spillage contain ability, water treatment and safe storage of waste products.

We have a direct link to the DVLA website which enables us to issue a “Certificate of Destruction” (a COD), immediately, which is proof that the vehicle has been scraped and eliminates the need for vehicle owners, or their agents, to notify the DVLA informing them that their vehicle has been scrapped, so no more costly fines if declaration has been overlooked for any reason.

Customers disposing of their cars with us can also expect to be paid for their vehicle no matter what condition it may be in.  All we ask is that relevant paperwork is produced when bringing the vehicle in to satisfy proof of ownership and identity.
