A family owned and run business first established in 1890.  Bishopsgate Iron & Steel moved to its current location in Silvertown in 1999.  Since then we have steadily developed and expanded our operation into the innovative and dynamic Scrap Recycling business it is today. 

We constantly seek to take advantage of developments in recycling equipment to enable us to efficiently process and recycle the highest percentage of both ferrous & non ferrous metal we receive.  Regularly updating and replacing our plant & machinery, investing and reinvesting, to ensure that valuable resources are not wasted, but reused time and again.  This not only benefits the environment but also our customers who ultimately receive higher yield due to more efficient processing.

Ideally placed close to the city, with the main arterial roads in and around London easily accessible, we can serve Central & Outer London, the Home Counties and the whole of South East of England easily and with minimum of fuss.

Our customer base is varied and diverse ranging from a member of the public selling their recent MOT failure, to demolition contractors dismantling a large building in the city through to Waste Transfer Stations, producing a steady stream of domestic and commercial waste products.
